The collar tag uses Bluetooth and the crowdsourced Apple Find My or Google Find Hub network. After pairing it with a compatible phone, nearby participating devices may securely detect the tag and help update its approximate location in your selected finding network.
No separate 12 LORIEL app or paid subscription is required. Location updates depend on nearby participating devices, so performance is generally better in populated areas than in remote locations. Only one finding network can be used at a time.
Press and hold the power button for approximately three seconds and listen for the confirmation sound.
If the tag does not respond, check that the battery is installed according to the polarity markings and is making proper contact. Try replacing it with a fresh compatible coin-cell battery, then restart the tag.

Play Sound normally works when the collar tag is powered on and within Bluetooth range of your phone. If the tag is farther away, the map may only show its most recently reported location, and the sound cannot be triggered until you move closer.
Use the displayed location and timestamp to approach the last-seen area, then try Play Sound again. Also make sure Bluetooth, Location Services, and Find My are enabled on your phone. If the tag is nearby but still does not respond, check the battery and restart the tag.
The displayed location is an approximate, last-seen network location—not a continuous GPS position.
Updates occur when a nearby participating device detects the tag and reports its location. If no compatible device has passed nearby recently, or if there is a delay in uploading the information, the displayed position may be outdated.
Buildings, wireless interference, movement, and the number of participating devices in the area can also affect accuracy. Always check the location timestamp before relying on the map pin.
The map may still be displaying the last location where the tag was detected by the finding network rather than its current position.
A passing device may have detected the tag while moving, or the location information may have been uploaded with a delay. This can cause the marker to appear on a nearby road, building, or other inaccurate position.
If you believe the tag is nearby, refresh the app, move closer to the surrounding area, and use Play Sound. At close range, the sound function is generally more useful than the map pin for locating the tag.
No. This collar tag is a Bluetooth finding accessory, not a GPS or cellular tracker. Its location updates are intermittent and depend on nearby participating devices in the selected finding network.
It is designed to provide an additional recovery aid alongside the free back engraving. It should not be relied upon for continuous pet monitoring, emergency tracking, or containment.
If you require continuous live location updates, a dedicated GPS tracker with cellular service would be more suitable.
